How to get to Rosslyn Chapel

By Car

From Edinburgh city centre follow the A7 signposted Galashiels from North Bridge/South Bridge and through Newington.

At the junction with A7/A700, follow the road straight on to A701 ( signposted Penicuick ). Continue on A701 for 5.20 miles through Liberton Brae, Howden Hall Road, at the Kaimes Junction continue forward at the traffic lights onto Burdiehouse Road. Continue on the A701 at the Straiton Junction ( A720) taking the 3rd exit and under the road bridge.

At the ensuing roundabout continue forward taking the 2nd exit onto Staiton Road-A701 ( sign posted Peebles ), continue entering Bilston.

At roundabout take 1st exit onto B7006 ( signposted Rosewell ) continue forward onto mail street and into chapel lane. Rosslyn Chapel is situated on the left hand side.

By Bus

Monday to Friday - Lothian Bus No 15A @ 41 minutes past the hour from St Andrews Square or First Bus No 62 @ 25 minutes past the hour from Edinburgh bus station. Travel time = approx 40 minutes. Return journey from Roslin Hotel leaves at 44 minutes past the hour.

Saturdays - No 62 @ 25 minutes pas the hour from Edinburgh bus station. Last return journey is at 14:44.

Sundays - No 62 bus from Edinburgh to Penicuick town centre then, bus No 141 from Penicuick to Roslin. return journey from Roslin Hotel is 15 minutes past the hour.
