There are three major movie houses in Sydney, with a host of other smaller providers. The big three are :

Hoyts

Village

Greater Union

Most large suburban shopping centres contain a movie complex that shows current releases. The movie " strip " in the city is located along George St, between Bathurst and Liverpool Streets.
