Visit the studios that are home to Saturday Night Live, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, NFL and Dateline.

Tours run every 15 minutes and are allocated on a first come basis commencing at 9am. Tours last about an hour.

The tour is of a working establishment and thus certain parts of the studio may not be unavailable. The tour commences with a look at the latest studio in construction allowing NBC to transmit using digital technology. From there you are taken to a purpose built theatre to view a video on the history behind the peacock emblem that has distinguished NBC almost since its inception along with many of the shows tat have made NBC famous all around the world. You'll also learn about some of the tricks that have made both the radio and television experience more realistic.

From there you will taken through a few current studios, which may include, Saturday Night Live and Late Night with Conan O'Brien. The last stop is a purpose built studio that allows everyone to participate in the creation of a TV show. If you are lucky you may even end up seeing yourself on television.

Summary

Even though the tour is a little on the expensive side it is worth it. You not only get to go inside a working TV studio but the helpful and informative guides can answer almost every question you may have concerning television programming and broadcasting. The tour will give you a much better idea of the technology and how small most TV sets actually are !
