After the attack on the World Trade Centre on September 11, 2001 the background of this page has been greyed as a mark of respect to all those perished in the tragedy. As a result of this attack, both towers of the World Trade Centre collapsed and are no longer part of the New York Skyline. Pls ) The twin 110 storey towers ( 1,350 feet ) of the World Trade Center are an unmistakable feature of Manhattan. The twin towers were constructed between 1966 and 1977. The whole World Trade complex consists of five buildings, a hotel, and an underground concourse.
Ascend to the 107th floor for drinks and dining at Windows on the World Restaurant. Open midday -3pm Mon - Fri, 5pm - 10pm Mon - Sat, 5pm - 8.30pm Sun. Phone : (212) 938 1111.
Ascend the 107 floors and enter the glass enclosed observatory. You will also find escalators to take to the open air observation deck 110 stories above New York City, weather permitting. On the 107th floor you will also find a free simulated helicopter ride that flies through the streets of Manhattan. At each side of the 107th floor you'll find multi-lingual information kiosks that will tell you all about the places you can see from here. There is also food and souvenir amenities.

Views of Manhattan and New York are unmatched by any other skyscraper in the City, including the Empire State Building. Try and arrange your visit on a clear, fine day when the 110 floor observation deck is open. The admission price is a little steep, but like most other sights in the City, the World Trade Center is a MUST on most visitors list. The World Trade Center is one of principal locations downtown and well serviced by both subways and buses.
